roebourne150Most Yindjibarndi people now live in Roebourne, which is commemorating one hundred and fifty years since it was founded by white settlers in 1866. With so much unique material relating to the history of our town held by the Juluwarlu Archive, we were able to contribute extensive material to the book produced by the City of Karratha (formerly the Shire of Roebourne) to mark this event.

The launch for this book was recently held and is now available for sale at the Old Gaol Museum in Roebourne and the Karratha Visitor Centre.

The Juluwarlu Archive was also extensively involved in the research and development of the history plaques now set up in the town to commemorate its Ngaarda history.
